im having a look at different insulation and u-values.

I have been trying to get to the Quinn Therm site and keep landing on a Mannok website,  has Quinn therm gone ?

i guess that they will have to put their prices up now to pay for this be rebrand ?

It's been a few years from Sean Quinn lost control of his company and a lot of unsavoury incidents have occurred to try and force the new owners out. I'm surprised that it's taken this long to change names.

My guess is all the manufacturers of this type of insulation will be re branding and re launching following Grenfell.

This rebranding has nothing to do with Grenfell.

You only have to look at the location of Quinn factories to believe the rumours of how Sean made his money...I met his accountant once, he lived in York..nice old fellow but  obviously kept his distance from Ireland.

What's wrong with Fermanagh and Co Cavan.

Nothing, love Ireland, North and South and spent a lot of time as a Kid there. My father worked for Time Life and was involved in creating replicas of the book of Kells.

I was referring to location of border and Quinn businesses.

His business where in both Co Cavan and Co Fermanagh neither of which I have ever heard being held to the same level as say South Armagh. He was born in Derrylin in Co. Fermanagh that's why he set up there. He started off digging gravel out of his family farm and selling it on. With lots of access to cheap gravel he could then move into cement products and made his fortune.
