I’m assuming you meant a road?

Ive never seen it before. As it appears to be a site plan produced by a third party, it may just be a drawing error as opposed to a symbol representing something from a formal OS map.

Not sure which mark you mean but the one middle right looks a bit like like an outflow from a drain that crosses the road. Eg a culvert

Agree with @temp - the "C" one looks like one side of one of those big culverts that take moorland streams under bridges under a country road.

I guess contour lines would give an indication.

If the map has no legend, then it's probably an unofficial (abstracted from some source) document.

If thats the case, then who knows what some dimwit did with a program like Adobe Acrobat? I agree that those lines might be pipes: but wonder whether it might be a sloppily drawn  cattlegrid?

@nod If it’s a planning application that you are interested in surely it’s local to you? Go visit and have a peek and report back here.

My immediate thought was indicating services

But I’ve never seen this symbol

Four years ago when we where planning our build You could simply pick up the phone and speak to planners

yep loads of info

But can’t seem to find anything relating to this mark

Why not attach it and the Planning No to an email to the generic planning address, and ask if they can clarify.

Or try Planning Aid, or email Ordnance Survey.

To me it looks to perhaps be 2 culverts in a single frame.
