Nick1c
I am trying to find oak engineered boards 100mm wide or less with no bevel, ideally band sawn finish. So far I am struggling - wider boards with a bevel seem to be the popular option. Does anyone know of where I might find this for sale? It's to go over UFH, hence the engineered requirement. I used solid reclaimed teak in our last house thinking it would be stable & couldn't believe the shrinkage! ProDave
I can't help with your specific question. We do have engineered oak flooring over UFH but 190mm wide planks. And they show absolutely no signs of shrinkage yet. At a previous house we had 90mm wide solid Maple, and that was pretty solid and stable. Nick1c
Thank you. The naked offering isn’t really what I am after as a surface finish and is further towards the ‘reassuring’ end of the market than we are looking.
Temp
This place appears to have 120mm... https://www.thesolidwoodflooringcompany.com/collections/band-sawn-finished-wood-flooring Perhaps call and ask if they can get smaller. Some places refer to "micro bevel". Edited January 18, 2020 by Temp
patp
There is a joinery company near me called "Easton Joinery" they also deal in timber so can source most things. They could not be a more helpful bunch of guys. Worth having a chat with them. https://eastonjoinery.com/machined-products/
