I've got the previous model - damn good. Tile adhesive, cement in a bucket etc is not a prob.  Actually tempted to buy a spare.

Good move.

Ordered one of these. Worth a punt at £50!

Cheap Cheap Cheap!

B and Q trade point had similar for £40 which I snapped up. It's still going strong and that's mixing tile adhesive in full bag to bag-and-a-half quantities which isn't easy going.

I may buy that one if the B and Q one isn't available any more, just to have a second 'clean' machine for plaster only.

+1, good find. :)

Here is a thought - 1600W is around 2 horsepower (depending on where you come from), so try to imagine two horses winding the paddle round - packs quite a punch (no pun intended!)B|

Here our huge B&Q has been half converted into a large Aldi as part of the general retrenchment, and they have closed 3 or 4 smaller ones within a few miles.

Wonder how well B&Q will be doing with their tool sales :-).

And here is some of the history:

Ah, very interesting, I was about right then and still think its a lot to pack into a paint stirrer, BUT, if I recall my history of Technology professor when I was at Uni (long time ago) correctly he looked at the definitions of HP across EU and globe and came to the conclusion that the range was bigger than Wikipedia give credit for. He was a unit nut and his favorite quip was to ask if you had ever wondered why 1 inch was equal to 25.4mm (no more / no less) his view was that it was a conspiracy, by what he described as a cabal of foreigners,  to fix the two to 1dp at some point. I secretly think he knew what the answer was but us poor students had to go off and find out without the benefit of the internet. Ever wondered why / how - it ain't luck I promise.
