wozza
Hi All, I need to run the thermostat cables for my UFH ready for Saturday when the fitter arrives to wire it all up and commission the system. Is 1mm 3 core and earth suitable or should I use 1.5mm 3 core and earth. The thermostats are Heatmiser Neostat V2 Thanks, Wozza. Temp
Some Heatmiser stats are 12v and/or use network cable. I've not checked your one.
wozza
Hi All, Thanks for the replies, the instructions are of no help, and I cannot find anything online. I called the tech line today and asked if I should use 1mm or 1.5mm cable for the Neostat V2 and the chap said "err 1.5", but he didn't sound very convincing. So I will use 1.5mm. ProDave
No point in 1.5. In fact I rarely use 1.5 for anything. 1mm 3 core & earth will be fine. BUT some thermostats are indeed low voltage and use network type cable. Post a picture of the insides of the thermostat?
Temp
Manual here... https://www.heatmisershop.co.uk/heatmiser-neostat-v2-programmable-thermostat/ .suggests you need 3 core for a switched live system and 4 core cable if it's going to be a "volt free" system. See Page 29 and 30. They also have a "Neohub" if you want to control it with an App. Edited December 10, 2019 by Temp

And there is a 12V version of the Heatmiser Neostat V2 so you do need to check which model you have.. https://www.heatmisershop.co.uk/heatmiser-neostat-12v-v2-programmable-thermostat/?gclid=CjwKCAiAob3vBRAUEiwAIbs5Tn-Te3MoMzR2y6z_2M3buhzhlOTLZfSWAQc0voIdEAtiZSmLUu5c9BoCNoQQAvD_BwE
