DavidFrancis
As per the title. Is there a sealant that would seal this hole satisfactorily? Tried a few searches on Google and could find nothing useful. Thanks in advance for any advice.
PeterW
Is it coming out a lot ..?? May be best with something like CT1 or Sika under a jubilee clip tightened over the spot.
Construction Channel
good shout on the jubilee, possibly some denso tape if the ct1 doesnt work
Vijay
Maybe try silicone tape? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Everbuild-2SWELDBK-Silweld-Silicone-Fusing/dp/B007554ZI6 Edited September 17, 2016 by Vijay
Onoff
I've tried twice on mine with a 2 part, Araldite like epoxy glue.....FAIL. Not on an easy bit either. Right in between plastic reinforcing bits. Built in obsolescence I reckon.
DavidFrancis
Thanks for the replies. Unfortunately the lance has reinforcing fins/flanges (or whatever they're called) like some Karchers parts do, which makes clips or tape difficult to use. I suppose I could cut out a wedge of something, try sealing that in and then put a clip around that. Any other ideas?
Nickfromwales
A picture with an arrow pointing to the leaking part would be helpful
Onoff
This is sounding like the lances on the same cheapo ones I have from B@Q circa £30 each and bought on a whim when they've had them as specials. Going to buy a Karcher now. I reckon this lance is the same as the one I've got that's split: http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/PRESSURE-WASHER-LANCE-FIT-CHALLENGE-XTREME-DIRT-DEVIL-HIGH-QUALITY-SPRAYER-/322240278492?nav=SEARCH
PeterW
Karcher used to have a website where they sold all the factory returns - basically they made a good unit from all the bits returned as it was cheaper to ship someone new stuff rather than a replacement hose etc on the off chance the customer has it wrong. Mate bought one of the dogs danglies ones for less than 30% of list price. I've got one that's 4 wheel job and other than the patio cleaner that's useless, it seems to be still going strong. Just checked and they still do https://www.karcheroutlet.co.uk/products/subcat.asp?mID=Pressure-Washers&sID=Sale Edited September 18, 2016 by PeterW Added URL

DavidFrancis
Nick - I was using the outlaws' Aldi one, which I borrowed and returned on Saturday. But the section of lance that started to leak is similar to the section attached to the patio cleaner here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B009QX8AO0?psc=1 (you can roll the mouse over the image for a better view) Edited September 19, 2016 by DavidFrancis
Nickfromwales
I'm still unsure as to where it's actually leaking from sorry. Is it where the sections join ?
