I'm in the process of building an extension with a flat roof. Looking to recreate a metal fascia/soffit like the picture below. My google searches have been a little unsuccessful. Most of the fascia's I find are designed for pictched roofs. Would I be looking for off-the shelf fascia/soffits or are these usually something you get fabricated? What should I be searching for? Fascia, soffit, overhang, coping or something else? I'm still in the design phase so would be easy for me to adjust the depths etc of the timber the metal face will be attached to if that saves money on bespoke.

Steel Beam bottom plate alignment. Fabricators draftsman has allowed 25mm above adjoining soffit for packing/insulation. My question is how is insulation or packing fixed to steel plate???? to level up with existing soffit. Any comments welcome, Thanks

Hi all, We are looking for recommendations for Facia and soffit board materials and suppliers. Ideally little maintenance needed, not uPVC and not gloss painted. Thanks, Geoff

We need to put some insect mesh on our parapet roof edges. Got to allow ventilation into roof but stop the insects. Soon the parapet will be covered by a Sarnafil roof covering which will overhang, still letting ventilation come up but effectively weatherproofing the mesh. What sort of mesh would you use? Stainless steel (expensive but longer lasting) or plastic (cheaper but will it last?) or PVC coated woven fibreglass? Or something else? And will a staple gun do to fix it - if so, any clues on staple sizes? This is Saturday's job so going to need to order some stuff pronto. Sorry no photo - too dark to take one now. -
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but we're shortly to be starting an MBC build. The roof will be natural slate with Kytun dry verges and the facias and soffits will be aluminium. I've attached a CGI for reference. Who is generally responsible for fitting facias and soffits- is this normally in the realm of the roofer?
