  1. I dont see how this provides the mains pressure water that the caravan water heater presumably needs. Regardless, i have built a 12 x 8 shed . Now i need to provide it with hot running water
  2. Except they do. Well, the House frame builder does.
  3. I dont yet have mains water to site and have a need to provide 'hot running water' , All of the heaters i am aware of require a mains connection. I dont think a kettle will do the job, so an URN seems to also not fit the bill. Can anyone point me to an option that can be filled with a reservoir of cold water that can be electrically heated ? Thanks in advance keith
  4. We will be using a 7kw Vaillant arotherm, so i dont suppose the power needs to be very heavy duty. Interested why this wont be enough power or data.
  5. Mibec 4 bore heat pump insulated pipe. 1 each for flow & return and then a data cable and power cable tube. If so is it as much of a faff to get cable through it as i imagine it might be. Mibec-HP-Quadro-datasheet.pdf (insulatedpipe.co.uk)
  6. George Barnsdale Timber Windows for their projects? Out of Spalding.
  7. 1000 litres at £108 inc VAT. Sorted. Shame it would have cost £1.20 if i could have used my own tap.
  8. Would have been a plan but i dont have a towbar.
  9. You dont mean all of the £6k to aero Barrier , do you? I spoke to them at length at one of the shows earlier this year. £2100 for a 200 square metre house. It appears they price by the metre. They said that basically they would stay on site all day and keep spraying to get down to almost whatever figure you need. Diminishing returns not withstanding of course.
  10. Potton do this a lot. We looked at 2 through them before we committed. One near colchester and one very close to Stanstead. Our own Potton build will be open to viewings by their prospects once we get to that stage. £250 John lewis vouchers is the usual sweetner i understand.
  11. Thanks Nod. Now i have something to compare with.
  12. The groundworkers brought a 1000 litre container with them 3 weeks ago. There is no water available on site and they have asked me to organise it. So i need to but some.
  13. I need to get a minimum of 1000 litres of water to site this week for the blockwork to start. Can anyone please give me a ballpark figure for North hertfordshire so i have an idea if i am getting a fair price when i get quotes. Many thanks in advance
  14. If distribution box's are used, like these Ubbink Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery Ducting Manifolds 8 Port (brinkhrv.com) do they perform the job of sound attenuation or are these also still needed inline somewhere upstream?
  15. Yes it is irrelevant. Because #1 we cannot affect its fall and #2 because the thrust of your original point was personal responsibility. Unless you are either the mythical friendly uncle in the sky or have any influence over him i think rainfall is none of your concern. Your choice to make a known poor argument speaks volumes. Lets agree to disagree.
  16. off of the OP's topic of course but the ground around the site of our peregrine is littered with heads, wings and feet. They are quickly hollowed out and thrown off of the ledge. It is because they are such good pigeon killers that Churchill ordered all Peregrines to be destroyed during the last big unpleasantness.
  17. So rainfall is irrelevant to this conversation. I suggest the issue is actually a failure to build infrastructure to deal with our water use. I also suggest that more water usage further diluting what it carries with it might actually be a better idea. I get really ticked off being made to feel guilty about using water when the culprits of its mismanagement both state and commerce happily promote this shift of blame.
  18. Cool, in my ignorance i assumed a UVC was like a big bucket. in other words not under any pressure.
  19. In the scenario of ASHP and therefore no combi boiler to heat mains pressure water am i going to need a pump to provide decent pressure at the shower head. I wonder what will dribble out of the shower from the UVC which are both on the same floor
  20. Where i work we have a resident Peregrine. She seems to favour Pigeons on their way home from a race. They dont know the local area so aren't aware of what lies in wait. Funnily enough the Peregrine does not care whether they are ringer or not. I guess they taste the same.
  21. Use isolation rubber feet to mount the MVHR, this is what i am planning for my loft mounted Brink 400.
  22. Are pigeons regarded as vermin like Corvids? If so then i see no problem with what is advocated here. Non lethal first, tell them to F*** off, shoot them when they dont.
