  1. I can't see a problem, there is only one choice now.
  2. As you know I did not use any waterproofing in my basement, relying on no groundwater (if you have this it is destined to leak at some future point) and higher partial vapour pressure of moisture in the air inside than outside it, this is always the case.
  3. U values are measured at steady state buildings exist in the real world where temperatures, wind speeds, heating regimes and solar radiation vary all the time.
  4. I like living in a very dense high mass house, stable temperatures = comfortable, very slow to change temperature. There is a problem with less dense materials as more volume is needed to store the same ammount of heat, (water excluded) Would it be possible to define your thermal time constant please?
  5. These are remarkable! 8x4 sheets come in a variety of sizes and thicknesses eg 1200 X 2438 of 12.5mm plasterboard, can be 1800, 2400, 2500,2700, 2900, 3000 even 3600 never 1220 wide Whereas plywood comes 1220 wide and 2440 long strangely nothing comes in centimetre sizes, only meters or millimetres which I am happy about. It is about time inches went out the window.
