Also to get ‘over’ the stone bumps recon I can ‘hammer’ around them and deform the metal . No one ever sees it ?

Yeah paving blocks . 80mm deep , 100mm wide and I think maybe 400mm long . Buggers to lay I’m guessing ?

Ok Will I still need to lay the blocks proud by say 5mm i.e will they still wacker plate down ?

? We are meant to park on it but in reality never will . I did the driveway in my old house the conventional way and actually parked on it no issue . Perhaps different (??? ) sand for this one ???

Ok I will have a concrete slab but not much depth to get pavers in . My superior has chosen pavers that are 80mm thick - so that really helps . At the deepest end (concrete base to finish ) I’ve got maybe 18cm . Plot slopes so going down to 12cm ? As my ‘base’ is solid do I skip the mot1 and just do sand ? This is above living accommodation so suds etc. not an issue cheers

So , as you can see from the photos the ‘professionals’ did the edpm really high up this wall I.e it would be visible above the final floor level . ( you can see the level to the right , so why the imbeciles did this I know not ) Ive cut it back - but this goo , glue is all over the stone work - sticky as hell . whats the best way to get it off ? Acid wash ? ( not now ! Don’t fancy that on the edpm !! )

Waiting for flashing to arrive . what annoys me is that it wasn’t difficult or time consuming ( with a good blade ) . ’Just glue the shit out of everything ‘ - not good practice. I can see once I have the trim it will kick out in places -.So much primer and glue everywhere can’t easily peel the rubber back . i guess at the worse spot if it’s just 1cm embedded in the wall is better than none . And yes will CT1 the joints to bits

Yeah but the lumpy stone has edpm over it . Is it ‘safe’ to cut the lump and edpm out at that point then patch later ?

Are you suggesting no flashing just magic CT1 smeared over the edges ? . Never used CT1 - and before there’s a panic I am doing to the flashing !!

Yeah 150mm is up at the edges . Problem is it’s just glued to the rough stone work with living accommodation below . So in time , water runs down stone and behind edpm - hence the flashing . I also think the tradesmen was less concerned as concrete is to be poured over the edpm as well . But this will shrink and I suspect a hairline crack at the edges .

Me too it would seem So what do I do when a lump of stone with edpm on it sticks out too much ? . Cut the stone face ? Or just let the flashing ‘drift’ out ( won’t be tight to the stone then )
