  1. Statement and killer ‘lawyer ‘ mode operative . Post it all off tomorrow with the court hearing fee .
  2. Oh I know it’s to cost !!
  3. Thinking of calling these http://www.singleply.co.uk/resources/roof-refurbishment-cpd/ Because they design a system to suit
  4. He’s checked what I’ve done . So I call him in when I have an issue or when he decides at what stage he wishes to visit . So timber frame up , roof on etc etc
  5. Oh I’m not ! Problem is Architect is very quiet . One roofer said the problem was the architect just states EDPM- but of course doesn’t understand the detail .....
  6. Going round in circles here ! I was thinking the gates at the front etc are the detail issue with EDPM. The gates are past the under ground dwelling I.e beyond the exterior wall . I could therefore put blockwork back from that for the edpm ; so it’s just a simple edge .
  7. Another roofer said only system to use for this job is hot melt bitumen ( not to call it ashfelt ) . He was honest and said their systems EPDM and a liquid pvc were no good . Said he’d send me the details of the firm . GRP he confirmed would crack .
  8. He said grp would potentially crack . Edpm I think has been ruled out because the detailing round the gates / entrance etc can’t be done . GRP makes this bit easier though .
  9. Did you ? But parking on it ??? Block pavers on it ??? You a roofer @Onoff ; you might aswell be ????
  10. Roofer just looked and suggested ashfelt......
  11. A photo for demotivating....
  12. Hang on ! @Nickfromwales is on my job next - said he fancied a challenge ?
  13. Worth a call ?? https://www.excelroofingandcladding.com/liquid-applied-roofing-systems/
  14. Yeah I know ! Ring Cemex Peter and argue with them ? Perhaps they “backdown “ when you ask if it is 100% waterproof to avoid liability. He also asked me what I meant by “waterproof” - my response was 100%
  15. Called Cemex out of interest about their waterproof concrete. He blurbed on quite a bit and CONFIRMED on it's own it is NOT waterproof - but can be part of a waterproof system. He waffled a lot! ; very technical - so erm yeah; not helpful!
  16. Just another thought. Why do I need either GRP or EPDM when you can tank; for example: https://www.permagard.co.uk/basement-waterproofing/cement-tanking
  17. Architect gone very quiet as I take my pavers up......
  18. I used Cedral Horizontal not too bad . Vertical a real pain !
  19. ????????
  20. Put the cobra down ! ? Where does this fit in the plan ?? ??
  21. But that means driving over grp - my architect ‘s nightmare . Might be more acceptable because it’s not at floor level .... Could even grp over the slab and EPDM - everyone’s happy then !!
  22. All suggestions welcome ! Non standard build requires non standard solution!
  23. Car parking area is essentially a giant upstand - but with edpm just on top ....
  24. Exactly ! . But if *just* the top of the parking slab was EPDM it could overlap the grp . EPDM just to keep Architect happy - then driveway pavers ontop this so ‘tub’ ; sides ; upstands ; side of parking slab all grp - continuous .
