Watched some flat roof leak finding videos . What I REALLY want is a method to make anywhere on the roof a water tight container around areas to isolate it . For example if I took all the decking up around the skylight and put a 100% water holding barrier around it - that would be magic . But how ? . Can I use expanding foam on asphalt to build a retaining barrier ??? 🤔

Took up more decking . Looks like the surface water does run round to that skylight . But it can’t be flooding around it . Also of course the leaks coming in under the roof not over the upstand . But it’s another possibility ( perhaps roof asphalt damage during installation of glazing ? ) .

So it’s something around this corner . Took up the decking . Nothing obvious . Those overlapping flashings filled with ct1 look fine . Next test once it’s dried up and leaking stopped to flood this corner but not up or over the flashing - just the actual roof . Not sure what else to try .

Does sound like the bearings . Have you checked the condensation drain and make sure there’s no sitting water in either side ( that can cause it to make a different sound also )

Money spent . Fair play to RicherSounds did a good job . In the cinema room he asked if I wanted a drink . Did ask for a beer . But that was a no . So r6000f II left and front mains 500c II centre 4 x 40m for surrounds s121 sub No 3800h in stock . Went online to Peter Tyson and ordered that . Demo’d the Sonos arc ultra also . Significantly better than my q990c . But a true surround system was even better - he could only do 5.1 - sounded great though . Now I just tell SWMBO it all cost £800 .

Ok , more than 1 drop . But not quarter of a bucket . So now to fix that 2nd overlap . There are no more overlaps on that run , so I hope this is it ….

Ok . It still leaks - 1 drop and a bit damp . I was hosing that area - I believe ( guess ) that spray from that maybe also hitting this overlap . So will ct1 that and repeat tomorrows test.

Hosed the wall on Max for 10 mins above that flashing overlap . The inside was slightly damp to touch from previous rain - so it makes judgement harder . But ! , 20 mins later nothing obvious inside ! . So will leave ( assuming it’s fixed ) as inside should be drier tomorrow and repeat . Looks promising though !
