On test < suspenseful music >
-
That all sounds good too me . In the same room I have a pair of Dali Oberon c’s for music listening - so projector on for tv and gaming .
-
I thought it was strange that everything according to the instructions plugs into the denon and that outputs to the projector . I assumed the denon acts as just an amp - not sure what image processing it does if any . Appletv , ps5 can upscale etc themselves . I have read that a vertex2 ( £400 ! ) can sort dodgy handshake from any avc to the screen / projector.

Yeah you need a new tv ! You know that … and speakers …. Your SWMBO said it was ok to spend the £££££
-
Hdcp effectively copy protection . What am I checking where ?
-
Once new hdmi’s are in if I still have issues then that was my plan . So all devices into projector then projector earc to denon - worth a shot
-
I won’t get use to it . All new kit shouldn’t happen 🫤
-
Yeah this kind of issue is surprisingly common . Genuinely changing the hdmi leads to certified ones ( not just ones that say 2.1 ) solves it a good few times . But as I’ve spent a chunk of cash here I do expect the picture to be maintained for the length of the movie .

Hmmmmmm ok issues ! Previously had a Samsung q990c soundbar , Apple TV , ps5 etc plugged directly into Awol 3500pro projector ( soundbar on earc connection ) no issues . Now we get a fairly frequent loss of signal with everything going through the denon … Google suggests turning off cec on everything so we are back to juggling remotes . Improves the situation . But still does it . We are talking mid streaming so no hdmi negotiation on different content format . Google tells me get new certified hdmi leads . I’ll do that But I’m somewhat unconvinced that the issue is hdmi handshake when I’ve had countless items connected with frankly any old hdmi lead I have around working flawlessly . Google then tells me this issue is common amongst AVC’s - not just denon … wtf !

That's it, I've had enough. I'm buying an electric wheelbarrow

I got dialogue clear and surround sound good ( you can hear it’s behind you ! ) but it all sounded ‘flat’ . Couldn’t work it out . Bern fiddling for hours . Then I turned off multieq xt32 …. Boom !!
-
That’s good news
-
It’s leaking !!!
-
Feeling lucky today ! Hose positioned to overwhelm this corner . Angled so it can’t run back - now to wait …
-
Atmos from dodgy online company due June 23rd apparently. Need to still tweak base - causing fatigue when it’s low and boomy . Believe I need to look at crossover stuff so chat tells me …
-
Yeah I thought about that . Let’s assume filling every gap / seam solves it - I’ll never know which one it was ! - I’ll never sleep again !!
-
Wait until tomorrow now …

So ! All the other foam barriers removed . This one ; waiting to cure . Will place the hose at the top at a controlled flow rate . Want it to go in this bit and overflow the block paving . Some of the asphalt to stone have potential small gaps on their edge … But everything looks like a suspect when you’re desperate!
-
Yeah I can’t see it working tbh . But it’s not as barmey as it sounds !
-
How’s that work ? . Assuming I could pressurise the basement . Not sure that would work as the water is seeping through the concrete block upstands - no actual obvious gap
-
Stay with me fellas - it’ll be worth it ! New plan ! Remove all existing foam barriers . This front bit has a slight fall as shown by the green arrow . Difficult to isolate that corner so will put a foam barrier on the red line . Water runs off roof and avoids this corner . Will use hose as it seems a better test ( ignoring the water bill ) My theory is this corner will hold water with high enough rain , but a shower ; it just follows the fall hence sometimes no leak even after constant rain . So will hose further up the roof letting the water run naturally down and out under the gate but avoiding this corner .
