  1. Another trick I have is a custom tape measure . Shows 6 inches on mine but really it’s only 3 . Who’s the man !
  2. Way ahead of you ! On the iPad / app what ever it will show ‘real’ temp + 3 !! She’ll never (expletive deleted)ing know ! Winner winner chicken dinner
  3. Yes . My gut instinct is that’s fine - whether the room temp overshoots or not . It’s how it ‘feels ‘ One of my tenants complained their room was cold and to turn the heating up ( I have an automated system I can control from my phone ) . Her room is set for 22c . When she text me it was 19c . So I told her I had turned it up . Later she thanked me ( I mean she text’d me not ‘thanked’ me ) . I guess convection is beyond some people’s understanding. You dirty b’stards
  4. Isn’t that though exactly what a conventional wall mounted combi boiler stat does ? . You just set a temp ; it turns off when temp met then turns on when it’s below ...?
  5. Yes . Impossible to tell at the moment. 1 temp sensor is dictating the whole on/off for the entire floor . Obviously I will have a sensor per room . From ‘feel’ it does seem to work well . But you sure as sh*t don’t want to leave the front door open for a few minutes!!!
  6. I was going to post something that would of got me banned but I deleted it It involved Ronnie Corbet
  7. Remember you asked this question !! ? I just have 1 aeotec 6 multi sensor reading amongst other things the temperature. It’s ceiling mounted . It only reports a change in temp ( so not polled ) seems to be 0.1c accuracy. Obviously at a later date I could do all kinds of heuristics and wobbly ( fuzzy ) logic . For now though it’s proving to the SWMBO god it’s functional and works !
  8. Yes ! You know it makes sense !!!
  9. Oh ooo ! Getting technical ! What was the question again ? ?
  10. All still going good in ‘experimental’ mode . What I have noticed is it can take many hours to drop 1 degree and of course many to go up 1 degree . Therefore my narrow range is in fact really wide : below 17 heating on above 18 heating off Never had ufh before so it’s a novelty . Tempted now to change it to 17.5 . As half a degree is still a few hours of heating . It does feel different aswell . Just feels warm everywhere. It’s quite strange compared to radiators; no hot nor cold space ; just even
  11. Ummm racist !
  12. Your countries shite anyway
  13. Ah yes . Every city has to be remembered for something . I should point out I’m of Czech descendant - so therefore f all to do with me !
  14. No no no no and no I think that answers your questions
  15. Oi Cornish ! We’ve had lecky for ages
  16. Nah , looks way to big !
  17. Or a nice slogan like “Oi Twunt , why are you plugging that in ?”
  18. So many options . Some nice openings around a 13A socket ?
  19. He certainly wouldn’t agree at the price !
  20. Agree with this . If my plasterers been on the ? the night before ; a flush socket against wobbly plaster will look pants
  21. I think they look bollocks - too flashy and sparkly for me . Would suit someone who has a sparkly shower tray for example . I do like the varilight range though
  22. Or a nice photo of a section of my anatomy behind each socket !
  23. Which brand / make ??
  24. You’ve been ‘ gearing up ‘ since January 2019 !! ???
  25. Is it just me? - or does anyone else get excited about sockets? ? When i was a kid it was white plastic ( which became yellow eventually ) and that was it. Now it's amazing! Here's some I like - though the real designer stuff has no prices! ( which I take as a bad sign for my wallet ) Any recommendations welcome!! https://www.swtch.co.uk/material-glass/ https://www.theinternetelectricalstore.com/electrical-plug-sockets-13-amp-12-c.asp https://www.ashdownhomestore.co.uk/retrotouch-double-switched-plug-socket-13a-black-glass-pg-00651-11631-p.asp https://hartingtonheath.com/product/i-lumos-luxury-white-glass-panel-13a-switched-uk-plug-double-socket-with-3-1a-double-usb-charger/ https://www.wandsworthelectrical.com/online-shop/?collection=&finish=&product-cat=20&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIjb6h1vTX7gIVGu3tCh3sIAKKEAAYAiAAEgJHxPD_BwE#filter--rtb https://www.lightswitchesandplugsockets.co.uk/retrotouch-double-switched-plug-socket-13a-white-glass-pg-00660-3225-p.asp https://oxfordlightingshowroom.com/sockets-and-switches
