Ambulance chasers by the sound of it, I know of two cases where a PWA has caused problems and wasted money so not a fan of them (but realise they are needed in some circumstances).

My understanding is garden walls are party walls, this from gov website. Party walls stand on the land of 2 or more owners and either: form part of a building don’t form part of a building, such as a garden wall (not wooden fences)

I discovered the west facing outside brick skin was wet through when drilling for the ASHP pipes, insulation had not wicked it up at all which was good but I treated the wall with waterproofer anyway to protect the bricks more than anything.

I take your point but many walls are built too close to clear debris from the gap. At least if concrete posts are used the fence panels can be lifted out and the area cleared, probably only needs doing every few years at most.

But surely you can switch off/disconnect PV. If you can divert excess to an immersion you can divert to open cct 🤷‍♂️
