Yeah, I just turn the white dials up to 70 (but they do feck all anyway), put the cock clock and cock pump clock back on the timer, and set the room thermostat(s) back on I guess. Thanks so much for all your help, and others who contributed. Collective genius in action. I am in awe

TS is downstairs off the utility room. 2 set of manifolds upstairs (I don't think they even work anymore), and 2 sets of manifolds downstairs that work after a fashion but given how quickly the boiler heats up and how slowly the UFH heats the room up I don't think it's working very efficiently.

So in summary I guess it's all super fecked?!

Well assuming they weren't still at 30 from when they were on first thing this am? Dunno There is an immersion heater switch in the boiler room that I only turned on if I needed to use it. He has wired a switch from that to the other side of the wall so the switch in the boiler room is now on all the time just so that I can use the one the other side of the wall when needed, that I didn't need as I already had a working one. Even I know the theory behind that is super flawed!

Yep they are all fully open / max. They were before, I didn''t alter anything, although there have been a number of people here looking at this so who knows if they've been altered.

So the temp dial on the manifolds is: 30 degrees on both downstairs (15 on the cold one) and 10 degrees upstairs on both hot and cold, ie both pipes are cold whereas downstairs the hot one is mildly warm,. All room stats are set to frost still.

Max = fully open yes?

Dog photobombed photo 4 Temp gauges still at 45 and 50 respectively. 2 sets of manifolds are 670mm to the higher of the 2 horizontal pipes (hot?) downstairs. There are 2 sets upstairs which are physically higher of course.

The UP green pump is hotter. Actually have just burnt my bloody hand on that!

What should I have done with the red things? They are all open max just now which is what they were to start with.

20 mins ago I reckon. Hasn't got any hotter since then. Boiler power is down to 6kw now so just ticking over.

We're down to 12kw now so on a go slow so I think the boiler's having a cuppa. The dial next to the PHE reads 50 and the other one reads 45. It's been like that for a fair bit so I don't think the TS is going to get any hotter with the boiler set to 65. Might be wrong but just a feeling ......
