Mine was switched off for eons tho. Not sure if that makes a difference.

Not quite so good for those of us English living / working in Scotland tho! Bollox, that settles it, I'm working from home on Monday (and Tuesday, and Wednesday ........ ).
-
Neither did the English. God, it will be unbearable at work on Monday!

I'm just going to recap on how this thread started @Nickfromwales Still sounding straightforward?

I found the original quote from solar guy. I didn’t know he’d quoted for the TS too originally. Terry sourced it from DPS direct in the end by the looks of things. The installation quote was interesting as it was 2k for installing the TS too whereas he took the entire grant money just for installing the solar kit later on. Assume the solar fluid is what he used when he did install it though and that it’s the ‘normal’ stuff used?
-
Yeah (as long as I don't have to go anywhere near the roof!) but not sure if it's worth it if the heat isn't actually making its way into the TS?

Those videos look like hell on earth to me . The racket is as bad as living through F1 on the tele. It's a specialist thing so you will get a lot of crazies bidding I think and asking questions that I won't have a clue how to answer. Needs someone to set it up and sell it on my behalf I guess. Assume it will work ok in the UK? Terry bought it from this company http://gteye.com.au/who-is-gteye and imported it from Australia, but they bought the system new from the company in the US I believe. Mind you this has jack to do with heating other than providing potential dosh for fixing it!

I have the manual. ‘Get the stuff assessed’. If anyone fancies it feel free! It’s 340kg so not something I can move. I told my brother he could come and get it for my nephews but given a year has passed since then I guess he doesn’t want it.
-
I think I'd have to go some to get up to your post count @Onoff but your thread makes me feel better now given how long it's taken for one room . Mind you, mine is just a heating system
-
Yep, cold and bright today.
-
Thanks! Switched it off!

He was also into Kickstarter. Things he’d backed arrived for months after he died. I never bloody knew what would turn up next! He said ‘sell it all off when I’m gone’ but that’s not as easy as it sounds and during that time I didn’t want to be bothered with stuff like that anyway. He wanted to build an off road Segway so crap for that is in the garage too. Needs a nuclear bomb under it
-
Lol, he spent his time on the AV forums I think. Plotting how to spend money
-
I have no idea how to get it working unfortunately. Need someone to sort it on a commission I guess. It's not the sort of thing you can just send tho, as it's massive! He bought it sight unseen off a company who had used it for demos as he was sure he could get it working.
-
Terry had 3 Raspberry Pi's. Not 100% sure what he was using them for, but I gave them away, along with boxes and boxes of gaming stuff, tablets etc. The big monster simulator thing is stuck in the garage tho. And I still have his tricopter drone things in a box somewhere as no one wanted those. Everyone wanted the quad drones.

Only posting photos as I know jack, so not sure what to call things. 'Those green things' wouldn't mean much I guess without a visual so just easier to send photos Where's your thread @Onoff. Hope it isn't a massive tale of woe like mine .
-
Yep, absolutely right. You have to use their registered installer, he knew how much the grant was, left it until 3 days before the grant scheme ended to actually arrive after we had been chasing him for months and then presented a bill for the full grant money. Was too late to argue as I had to send the claim back to the grant company by recorded in order that it got there in time.

Thanks. One hopes it was redundant rather than 'missed'!!
-
Nope, I think it's indicative of the sorry state of this system sadly! Thanks for the temp probes link. I will order some.
-
I also found the following on the top of the TS! The thing in the photo still in its box, 2 manuals, and a plastic thing that says Resol SP 10! Oh and shit loads of dust! My house now looks like a disaster zone of paperwork and shite that I’ve dragged out of the way to get to stuff!
-
And I checked the temperature of the pipes in the location in the photo as I could get to the pipes there. I’m sceptical tho as one felt a bit warmer than the other, and not just a tiny little bit. 27.6 and 24.4. The temp gauge shows lower. And the pump shows 55.

More info on the solar. Photo of panels and details of current settings on the solar controller (except the time, which is wrong. It thinks it’s the middle of the night) Column 117.3 TST 22.3 S3 52.5 n % 100 hP 7422

Yeah, I’ve got loads of free months out of them but I’d rather have the bloody thing arrive when I need it. I’ve set a safe place and they won’t leave it there ‘as it’s not safe’. Been up to the sorting office and had a conversation with them about it but nope!
