Hmm, so it'll be ready before he goes back to Uni. Thought you didn't like deadlines? -

This is the one I bought (and haven't got round to reading): https://www.amazon.co.uk/Epigenetics-Revolution-Rewriting-Understanding-Inheritance/dp/1848313470 -

Thought you were painting next? Tiling will be like the finishing touches! Hope you've got the champagne on ice, and who gets to use the shower first? -

I’ve got a book here on Epigenetics as it happens. Not got round to reading it yet. -
I’m too old for that sh1t these days. @Hecateh can outdrink me. Did you take Will on @Hecateh? Who won?
-
Little Willy?
-
Don’t do beer TBH. I’ll be giving the voddy a whirl though
-
And there was me thinking you meant Will!! Thought the Welshman may have grown up a bit but seems not!
-
So did I at his age .
-
Yep, deffo in Scotland. See advent calendar. Act A Twat? Stella? Will said you hated Stella. He said he wasn’t bothered and would drink anything ?
-
I should have offered Black Sheep to the Welshman really . Sadly it all needs tipping down the sink.

Now I almost did a degree in genetics. Always wonder what I might be doing now if I had. Probably sitting in some lab somewhere slowly rocking back and forth . -

Oh and I meant to ask - can you feel that the finish line is in sight now? Seems like much progress has been made recently . -

Hmm, many professions have their achilles heel. The OH had to give up being a spark (before I met him) when his knees were too knackered to do that stuff all day. He was a cider man too, which is why there is no cider in that stash of booze I found under the stairs . -

Well son of @Onoff looks like he needs building up so rock cakes and more beer should help -

I was wondering that but it's 9 for @Onoff and son of @Onoff I imagine but still not an even split . -
Well hell, thought I would clear out the under-stair cupboard where 2 sets of manifolds live as I thought there was free space at the back that I could store ‘might come in handy’ junk. Look what’s there @PeterW and @Nickfromwales . We could have had a party! ??? Sadly I imagine the beer has likely seen better days but the wine and spirits may be ok I guess. Cheers ?.

I can't critique it but looks great to me. Well done for giving it a go. Not sure about the Top Gun reference - wasn't that the supposedly homoerotic scene?! -
Yes absolutely post photos for the specific threads. Just a couple to whet the appetite would be great here too .
-
Welcome! Some initial photos would be great to put some context around the task at hand if you don’t mind sharing.

Personally I would never buy a granite worktop from a kitchen company. The granite specialists should always provide a more competitive quote and they will be fitting them day in day out.

That's it, I've had enough. I'm buying some. Which?

Deffo go for the safety glasses. You know it makes sense! Cheap as chips too. -

I think that's what @PeterW meant actually as you can get this: https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/household-appliances/cooking/microwaves/hotpoint-mn-314-ix-h-built-in-microwave-with-grill-stainless-steel-10151127-pdt.html and this: https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/household-appliances/cooking/ovens/hotpoint-class-4-sa4-544-h-ix-electric-oven-stainless-steel-10153540-pdt.html for £473 with the £50 off. Many built in microwaves are combis or have grills. Mine is a combi although I only actually ever use it as a microwave as I have a separate oven too.
