  5. Hi Crofter, If you do have a wifi signal (maybe next door's?) then I can recommend the Sonoff TH16 https://www.itead.cc/sonoff-th.html wireless switching from phone, timer, temperature or humidity sensor, it is keenly priced with a nice free app that's easy to program. Two models available TH10 (10 Amps) or TH16 (16 Amps) Scenes can also be set up so setting up a local "IFTTT". If WiFi is lost the controller will still carry on as the program is stored in non-volatile memory. Should you want IFTTT from another operation ie weather control then i would recommend https://ifttt.com/ and set yourself up a free account. Itead https://www.itead.cc/ manufacture lots of other control gear in the Sonoff range - all good value. Kind regards AndyT.
  6. Hi All, Just as a "By the Way" - my Solar PV dashboard http://wattson.energyhive.com/dashboard/AndyT data has been taken off line for the moment while I do some testing two of Sunamp's latest prototypes. Got all the plumbing done yesterday and as a result my conservatory looks like a Steampunk version of the engine room of SS W-s-M with meters gauges and dials everywhere. Very akin to Willy Wonka's chocolate factory. Just got to do the electrics on Monday and then all it needs is the sound effects to go with it. You can still access historic data on the dashboard by clicking the < and > symbols either side of the date. Kind regards. AndyT
  7. certainly felt it in W-s-M - I was sat in my office chair and was rocked a couple of inches back and fro - saw the padlock on the garden gate swinging and both my boys came rushing downstairs asking what was happening. - My Wife working in the green house 5ft away from me felt nothing. It might be because she was on her feet where as the rest of us were sat down. Wife quite miffed she had missed it.
  8. Yes - just RX some 30+ yrs ago - now model engineering takes up my hobby time.
  9. Yes and I was very pleased; I sent them a scaled drawing of the area i wanted to UFH and they duly came back with the same drawing with the manifold where i had suggested. Detailed list of all the bits i would need. Perfect job arrived on a pallet, got trade discount without any quibbles and installed myself. Easypeasy. My XYL said "That's one of the best jobs you have done - keeps my toes toasty - Thank you xx" Kind regards AndyT.
  10. I can give a thumbs up to the ZN Shine - I have had my 20 x 195w mono's since 2011 and they have over performed by about 30% on SAP2009. When i told them at an Exhibition in 2015 had them with data going back to day one they were amazed and asked if they could use my home as a case study, which I agreed to. All the data is on my dashboard http://wattson.energyhive.com/dashboard/AndyT it goes back days, months, years - enjoy.
  11. For those of you who stopped by the stand, I was very pleased to put a face to a name. My take on the show was; Saturday very busy lots of existing business who were interested in Sunamp being part of the solution. Sunday far more family groups in the morning - with the threat of snow, lots left early on Sunday

Just got the final detail on stand enquiries for Sunday 60+ which took the total to just over 200 - staggered at the interest. I am sure that the variety of product helped, solar tiles & slates led the field with thermal and electric storage adding to the mix - amazing numbers attending.
  17. You are top of the list for the first course.

Hi all, I shall be driving to Kent tomorrow to help set up the stand ready for a busy weekend. I shall be on stand G29 and look forward to putting some faces to names of those visiting the show from buildhub. Do please ask me to give you updates on new products.
  19. Just a short note to let you know that I had a meeting in Swansea with @Nickfromwales to discuss a couple of projects and how the new products being released end of March can be configured. A very enjoyable meeting to help bring him up to speed. Many thanks @Nickfromwales

So 77 enquiries on Saturday but today was a little quieter. All in all an excellent show and well worth the visit for those considering embarking on the self-build or renovation route for information and research. The show had plenty of people manning the section called "Ask the expert" which was popular. General consensus was that there were more new projects starting. Off to Kent on Friday to setup the stand in the Kent Exhibition Centre ready for Saturday and Sunday. If anyone is about do please come and introduce yourself. Kind regards AndyT.

I found out today that the stand had 60 enquiries yesterday and NSBRC told us that we were the 4th most visited stand at the show. More facts when I know it on the statistics including visitor numbers. Today was an exceptionally busy day and I was delighted to have 4 buildhub forum members make themselves known to me when they visited the stand. Happy to put faces to names thank you. More news tomorrow. Kind regards AndyT

Hi everyone, Sorry if anyone came by the stand and I was busy with other customers. It was a very busy day with plenty of self-builders and renovators doing their research and keeping up to date with new technologies. The stand I was on (218 next to the theater) featured a variety of products including solar tiles in various colours as well as electrical and PCM heat storage batteries, so there was plenty to discuss and some very green envious looks from the visiting Tesla rep, due to Tesla delays in bringing the solar tiles to market. The hall started to calm down about 3.45pm so I look forward to doing it all again tomorrow. kind regards to all. AndyT.

Hi just to let you know I shall be on stand 218 next to the theater. I would be pleased to meet you.
  25. Yes you can set the threshold and once that is exceeded, the relay board will swap the diversion of excess generation from device one to device two. Its a typical ITTT operation. if the threshold = <1 then divert to device 1. continue to monitor the threshold. if the threshold = >1 then divert to device 2. continue to monitor the threshold. if the threshold = <1 then switch back to device 1.
