Okay now you've got me thinking.

A couple of fillet steaks will be appreciated...but

The very best personalised gift would be a new shiney Makita/ DeWalt etc battery...now that must get a wry smile

Or cake, everyone likes a cake. A big fat sweet tasty cake...in a box with a ribbon

No, worse, far worse - Spencer...

It's one thing I can blame my father for, he was a fanatical admirer of Winston Spencer Churchill...

Well, it beats Marx.

So we are planning to move in next weekend.  The house won't be finished but it will be liveable. Whilst there is no love lost between us and the main contractor there have been some contractors (electrician, plumbers etc) that have been great and I would like to give them a thank you gift.  Any ideas?  I don't know them very well as I don't live onsite so I can't get anything personalised.  The default is some beer but wondered if anyone had any other ideas?

At this time of year hampers can be good ... of interesting food that people would not normally buy.

Then if they do not like it they can give away to family and friends.

I usually get my tenants a bottle of something like a non-alcoholic ginger or rum & raisin traditional tipple with the card, and usually something else.
