Alexphd1 Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 Anybody know what they set up the L/pm flow on the ashp? Just looking at flow gauges.

Our 7 kW ASHP is nominally 20 l/min, and looking at the data for the others in the range, the 12 kW model is 35 l/min and the 14 kW model is 41.7 l/min.
ProDave Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 My 5KW LG Therma V is 15L per min. Astonishingly, this vital information is not given in the installation manual. I had to seek it from their technical support (when it would not operate due to low flow) Installing a flow meter I would say is absolutely essential. Some heat pumps provide a flow meter but not all.
Alexphd1 Posted October 3, 2018 Author Posted October 3, 2018 (edited) Much appreciated. I am actually looking at a solar pump station with a 8-28l range and 28mm pipe connections direct from Poland. Edited October 3, 2018 by Alexphd1
joe90 Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 Actually my plumber did not fit a flow meter and it’s just occurred to me what speed I should set the pump at (external pump as none in the ASHP)..
Gav_P Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 I didn’t bother fitting the flow meter as I didn’t have much space. So I set the pump to the lowest setting and then kept upping it till the ASHP didn’t trigger the alarm. Then did it from highest setting downwards. This gave me the range of what settings on the pump would work. I aimed for the slowest, as (to my logic - no actual facts) this used the least energy and extracted a degree or two more heat. 1
