8ball Posted September 19, 2018 Posted September 19, 2018 Hello, is it OK to have an exit point for a toilet extraction located on a garage soffit to the front of the property? I had a look around on the net and couldn't find anything that says its a no go but I thought I'd ask here for a more solid answer? Thanks
ProDave Posted September 19, 2018 Posted September 19, 2018 Only issue is getting the pipe from the house to the garage without compromising the fire integrity of that wall. 1

Oh blimey I never thought of that, the BC's going to spot that one I bet. Problem is I have no other choice on the route but to go into the garage ?
PeterW Posted September 19, 2018 Posted September 19, 2018 go above the garage ceiling as that should be fire rated. 1

Triassic Posted September 19, 2018 Posted September 19, 2018 Just install the extract duct as planned, you could box it in with fire rated plaster board if your concern about the fire rating. 1
