Moira Niedzwiecka
Pigeons have decided our new roof ridge is the perfect perch. Problem is we now have white streaks of bird doodoo all over the slates. All the bird spikes I can find will be really noticeable. Has anyone used them or have any suggestions? PeterW
You can get bird wires - they are a tensioned stainless or copper wire strung with either 2 or 3 parallel wires that are about an inch or two above the ridge. It means larger birds can’t roost on the ridge
Jimbouk
We were having a problem with seagulls and pigeons sitting on the very end of the ridge over our decking. Used a metre from https://www.birdspikesonline.co.uk/Bird-Spikes/Products has worked perfectly. Not beautiful, but not that noticeable and cured the guano problem! nod
We’re we live We have a outdoor semi covered market It got so bad they introduced model falcons up in the rafters It gave us a laugh to But worked It only moved the pigeons across the road onto the buildings But the stall holders were happy
