I found the following technical intro to cement usage during home construction useful and thought it would help others at the bottom end of the learning curve like me. Now I know how many bricks can be laid when a full 25kg OPC bag is used.

You mean how many it might be. Depends how much hits the labourers face ,hair and clothes when he is staring into the mixer. How much spills out when the barrow is full to the limit and how much the brickie drops down the cavity.

That's a really useful post @epsilonGreedy. Thanks very much indeed. It's so useful to have the theory as a starting point, and even more useful to have the experts cast a jaundiced eye over the guidance.

The guidance does contain the following sentence

' ... These quantities do not include any allowance for wastage. ...'

(Not that @Declan52 suffers from jaundice )

Not sure. Guess.... yes.

Yes they are, as the urls are public. Unless the site is configured to ban search engines by using the robots.txt file, or some other less obvious way.

And you can link to all the posts on a given tag:

https://forum.buildhub.org.uk/tags/cement/

But a forum has so many ways in that the amount of extra search prominence without external links may not be *that* great.
