Anyone used a paint sprayer with bitumen paint?

I’ve got a lot of steel to paint another layer of bitumen onto. I’m not fussed about being neat and tidy. Has anyone used a paint sprayer with particularly thick paint like this?:

I’ve seen other bitumen paint says it can be sprayed. Also, Glatthaar’s waterproofing layer on its basements uses sprayed bitumen, I believe.

if you have a compressor buy a schultz gun and stick a hose onto the suction tube and dip it in your big tin. Put you tin of bitumen into a big bucket of hot water to heat it up and it will spray nicer.

 

use celly thinners to clean stuff off. all the guns are the same so just buy a cheap one. the black gunk will gunk it up so it will go in the bin once done.

 

wear some kind of dust mask and goggles/gloves/ppe

Don’t use a sprayer with the tubular filters in the gun, they last 5 minutes and block up. 
shultz gun as mentioned above.
