Gable Verge Detail
We are struggling trying to find dry verge product as an alternative to the traditional wet verge for a new roof on our self-build in progress (photo).  We have tried Kytun but they say their products wont work with out slate and halfs. We are trying to find something neat, visually minimal and long life. Has anyone installed lead on the gable verges? Any suggetions or experiences, many thanks.

That sounds wrong to me - we considered their T1 and I thought a specific benefit was no need for slate and a half.

We also looked at Klober dry line S but didn't go for that due to (possible unwarranted) concerns whether it might fade or bow in hot sun.

In the end we oversailed the slates about 50mm past the mortar pointing to create a thin edge profile (needs slate and a half or large slates if at all exposed) but I suspect that only really works where you've brick rather than fascia board below.

Not entirely unwarranted; I'm not sure what the brand is, but I know of one that has indeed gone off-colour in the sun. I'd do it the traditional way, whether or not there's a fascia.

We used kytun t2 with our slate and halves. Bit of fiddling to set out to allow for cladding, but pleased with the results.
