Nickfromwales Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Hi folks. One of our legendary system admins @TerryE gives up a huge amount of time, unpaid as a volunteer, to keep the forum running (done almost entirely behind the scenes). Others do so also, but this time we’ve a friend in need, and it would be wonderful if we could return the favour. Please see the following, and if anyone can design and print a small item, it would be a big help. TIA. Thanks for looking. 2
TerryE Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Not needed guys. Sitting brooding can work wonders. An offcut of 28mm copper pipe crenellated using pliers works wonders. 🙂 But thanks for the thought, Nick. 2
Spinny Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I can only confirm it will be the design that is the difficult/time consuming bit. A lot of younger guys do have 3D printers. There are of course 3D scanners which can be used to produce a 3D model by laser scanning the object desired. Unfortunately I think decent ones are well over £10k so only found in engineering companies. As I write I see Terry has solved it, and is now about to launch an enterprise selling lengths of crenellated copper pipe on ebay for £20 a time ;o)
Onoff Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Just read this. Would have been happy to help. Use the printer here all the time for practical purposes.
dpmiller Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago yep, young'un here was asking for a better photo to work from...
