Pocster Posted August 20 Author Posted August 20 Fable is causing me to accelerate my requests! Mikes in; fully lit by environment and driven with IK. Scatter props like rocks, tree branches etc Trees with shadows. Full grass. All affected by wind/rain/snow Mikes eyes light at night so he can see where he is going. Some simpler creatures going in e.g. butterflies and fish. For the most part 60 FPS! - took sometime to get to that. 1
Pocster Posted August 22 Author Posted August 22 now every blade of grass casts a shadow!. Mike (the robot) was happy in his tranquil world. But some mofo has now given him a gun.....
Pocster Posted Sunday at 19:18 Author Posted Sunday at 19:18 Mike didn’t like his gun so now he’s upgraded to a plasma laser . Be kind . Don’t be like Mike and mow down the flora with your new found toy . In a world full of Mikes , don’t be a Mike .

You are not going to rest until you've reimplemented Unreal engine in your web browser are you 1 1

Effectively on some things we’ve exceeded UE . But I cheated a bit . Mines a heightmap engine so I can’t do overhang / caves etc - fine for landscapes etc but not insides ( though I’m thinking about how you would do that with a ray marcher for a follow up project ) . But yes ! Everything UE does we attempt . Rain , snow , wind , lighting , explosions , lasers , ice , real big list . Put a video up on YouTube in the next few weeks . Expect Apple to offer me a billion dollars for it …. maybe …. or Mr.Beast ( I.e more money than sense ) . But I’ll take the cash from anyone ; not fussy ! 1
-rick- Posted Tuesday at 13:56 Posted Tuesday at 13:56 Mac Studio M5 Ultra is out. Up to 512GB but not sure pricing is available for that yet (they say wait until October). The 256GB model with maxed out CPU/GPU is £10,799. How rich is your blood @Pocster? 1

Also once the gpu AI is used I can expect maybe a 4 fold increase in local LLM speed. 1

I will be interested to hear how the new deepseek flash model does compared to Opus. I've heard good things about using the frontier models to orchestrate lower tier, cheaper agents. 1
Pocster Posted Wednesday at 11:21 Author Posted Wednesday at 11:21 Honestly. Can't work out if it's brilliant or mad. Getting Multiple Claude sessions to literally talk to each other so they dont stomp on each other's commits. But just had to tell one session off for (expletive deleted)ing about and drifting. I demoted it to help another sessaion as an advisor!. I can see it grovelling to the other session and offering its support and knowledge. Bizarre to watch. These is all MY BITCHES
Pocster Posted 1 hour ago Author Posted 1 hour ago LOL! I nominated a claude session as "boss" and to coordinate the others. I don't think this is proper sub agent stuff but seems to work. I asked it if they were behaving!. Working my way towards that YouTube video I've been threatening, then the phone call from Mr'X' with the million quid. Bound to happen. Probably be someone on here...:-)
