Drellingore Posted July 20 Posted July 20 Is it normal for trades like scaffolders to offer cash discounts? Coming from the world of enterprise, it seems a bit dodgy. I've never withdrawn £20k in cash before...
Russell griffiths Posted July 20 Posted July 20 Scaffolding, digger hire, concrete pumps, anything you can’t claim back.
Kelvin Posted July 20 Posted July 20 It is dodgy for obvious reasons. £20k is a lot of scaffolding or you plan on having a while.
-rick- Posted July 20 Posted July 20 Does cash mean no documentation? What about tagging and liability? Scaffolding can get people badly hurt, want to make sure you have a safety paper trail for that.
nod Posted July 20 Posted July 20 Any trades that you use will prefer cash It’s often the only incentive for a one off build Our electrician was being paid £300 for a Saturday or Sunday -40% and extra NA and pension It’s far better doing the work for cash at a lower rate

We need a 'tin hat' on a 27Lx10Wx8H metre building. 19 minutes ago, -rick- said: Scaffolding can get people badly hurt, want to make sure you have a safety paper trail for that. Good point!
