bmj1 Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Hi all, I ordered 3 pallets of tumbled limestone tiles for our outdoor patio. There are a lot of chips, and I'm worried this ruins the aesthetic. Here is how they look: https://imgur.com/a/kLN1W5t The supply says this is 'normal' for tumbled tiles - and there is no defect. Who is correct ? Many thanks in advance. Best, Ben
Nickfromwales Posted April 8 Posted April 8 (edited) The clue is in the question, eg “tumbled”. If you want a more ‘perfect’ product you usually ask for ‘rectified’ as that comes in a regularised format vs the rustic look that is expected with a tumbled product. Edited April 9 by Nickfromwales Typo ‘format’

In fact we have them in our house - Kitchen / hallway etc. and they look a treat with the finished grout. Not sure how you will "grout" them in outdoors though. Have you considered what product you will be using for that purpose? 1

Redoctober Posted April 9 Posted April 9 @bmj1 for our Indian sandstone slabs outside, I have used "easy joint" - comes in many colour ways. It has done a very good job since it has been down, so worth the investment I feel.
nod Posted April 9 Posted April 9 As a business I have more problems with so called tumbled tiles and hand made tiles They can look very different when on
Temp Posted April 9 Posted April 9 They look quite good to me. In particular the thickness looks pretty uniform which makes laying them easier. 1
