Recommend a shower tray please

My first thoughts are Mira Flight of some size. I need 2, one in main bathroom and one in En Suite.

Are there any Brands to stay well clear of and Brands that you wise ones would recommend.

To be honest, I’ve never had a duff one other than from B&Q, one of their 1800mm long ones with the glass dividers, walk in type things which bellied up in the middle and made a lovely pond.

 

I used to buy off eBay all the time, usually the same stuff the merchants gave out, and was always cheaper.

 

Mira is a nice tray, good all round d daily driver, so if you’re not on your uppers then grab 2 of those. 
 

I fitted 2 on a job in Oxford and they had a nice linear drain at the end. Was nice to not be stepping on the drain cover.

We fitted a Mira flight safe a few months back and really like. Just about to do an en suit and going to use the same again

Hopefully not straying too far from the main thread, the auction site John Pye usually have these. Similar style to the picture, stone resin, perfect condition, 1800x900mm, we paid £15 for ours 😁

Plastic carcases filled with foam! they fall apart or break!

Ditto anything just plastic.

 

I will always get a solid concrete / epoxy one 

 

Also, think ahead to where the outlet had best be. The drain has to get past joists/ through walls etc. Left, right or centre outlet  to the short end or the long?

Kudos connect 2 will give you a get out of jail card if you have troublesome joists…
