Building Steps Over Manhole Cover

Hi All,

 

Need some advise with regards to the manhole cover - As you can see I need a couple of steps from the back door to the garden. My initial thought was the raise the manhole cover and incorporate it into the steps using a recessed cover, however I feel the step would be too large and look silly if I did that. 

 

Any other solutions / suggestions would be appreciated.

You can have a recessed manhole which accepts the finished product. 👍.

I see your problem. Have you listed the lid to see what you have inside ?

It won't look silly to have a bigger step.  The other option is to move the IC further out, but it may be quite a lot of work.

Without lifting the lid you don’t know what’s below. It will expose your options or lack of them. The lid could possibly be reduced in size and/or rotated/ moved.
