CalvinHobbes
I am a bit confused, why are all these multi bar pendant lights for islands not ip44 since many have stoves or hobs? Our island is 2.2m but struggling to get a suitable light (some are ip20). Also not easy to get over 100cm but surely we need 130 to 150? We have one wire above. ProDave
A kitchen is not a special location, no requirement for any particular IP rating. If you really think you need it, look for bathroom light fittings.
CalvinHobbes
So could I put up this on our island with a downward draft hob? https://www.ikea.com/ca/en/p/agunnaryd-pendant-lamp-with-3-lamps-black-10364783/
ProDave
Yes no problem at all. Other than it states a lamp size of E26 whereas E27 is the normal. It might have odd sized lamps.
