SteamyTea Posted December 11, 2025 Posted December 11, 2025 I am close by today, but don't fancy the 7 hour drive back in the dark.
Alan Ambrose Posted January 29 Author Posted January 29 HI Suffolk-folk. Â Anyone fancy a pub meet-up?Â

Nickfromwales Posted January 29 Posted January 29 Can I nominate a pub in South Wales? Preferably one I can walk home pissed from. 1
G and J Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Count us out till we hand over the house (it is becoming more of a house by the day!) to the tackers, which will be middle of next month. Â Â Next year our availability will be much better. Honest.Â
Alan Ambrose Posted February 3 Author Posted February 3 >>> Can I nominate a pub in South Wales?  @Nickfromwales - I'll check on the status of the minibus. We are particularly interested in seeing some real rain and mud, as it's quite dry here: Â

Don’t want anyone saying I don’t pay my way.   Bloody miserable down here.Â
Alan Ambrose Posted February 3 Author Posted February 3 OK based on the theory that the centroid of us at all times even when we're moving about ... is IP14 ... Â Thurs 19th at The Debenham Lion or the Shepherd & Dog? 6:30pm?
Alan Ambrose Posted February 3 Author Posted February 3 @G and J - don't kid us that you're working hard.
Alan Ambrose Posted February 11 Author Posted February 11 @G and J  @zzPaulzz @GaryChaplin @Nick Laslett @JohnnyB @marshian  Next Thurs work for you?

LSB Posted yesterday at 09:09 Posted yesterday at 09:09 Are we meeting tomorrow. If so where and when Â
Alan Ambrose Posted yesterday at 16:23 Author Posted yesterday at 16:23 @G and J  @zzPaulzz @GaryChaplin @Nick Laslett @JohnnyB @marshian  Well if it's just us - am I right in thinking you're IP17 too? If so, you're quite welcome to take a look at my plot else The Poachers maybe? What time suits?
LSB Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago We'd love to see your place, but didn't Johnny B say yes as well. And the poachers is good as well. Â
JohnnyB Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago I am available tomorrow but don't finish work until 5.30/6 so it will be dark before I get home. I'm quite happy to meet up next month, I have loads I should be getting on with here 😉
LSB Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago If alan can't make 5pm them we could meet later somewhere else. I'm pretty free today apart from looking at baby prams 🙂 at lunchtime Â
Alan Ambrose Posted 5 hours ago Author Posted 5 hours ago @LSB >>> looking at baby prams  Congrats :). We have the 21 degrees guy calling in at our home address i.e. IP6 late afternoon, so would be pushed to make 5pm. Agree that seeing it in the light would be better than stumbling around in the dark😄.  Shall we all make a date for say Thurs March 19th? Sunset is about 6pm then apparently. Happy to host a plot visit - might be marginally more interesting as by then we should have the structure of our walls 'watertight'.
LSB Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Sounds like a good plan.  Baby pram is for grandchild no. 4, not for me in my 60's 🙂 Â
Alan Ambrose Posted 3 hours ago Author Posted 3 hours ago I guessed 😄, congrats on your new grandchild. 1
