Just in time for Xmas. Come and visit then NEVER escape! Problem is even with grub screw out handle won't budge off the plate. Plate also feels 'loose'.... ProDave Posted Monday at 16:37 Share Posted Monday at 16:37 Did YOU fit it? If so you will remember how it is supposed to come apart. If not, you are guessing how it is supposed to dome apart. Try taking the handle the other side off?

There is no handle the otherside ( opening from outside is either finger scanner or key ).

But usually in my experience ; remove grub and handle comes off easy; then remove plate. There is no handle the otherside ( opening from outside is either finger scanner or key ). ProDave Posted Monday at 16:47 Share Posted Monday at 16:47 I bet the outer part of that square is a cover that will just pop off if you get something flat like a chisel under it to prise it off and will reveal some fixing screws. The grub screw is probably to clamp the bar, not hold the handle in place.

Don’t want to use brute ( masculine ) force and (expletive deleted) the door ! . But normally this is easy !

Eric Posted Monday at 18:36 Share Posted Monday at 18:36 Is that an Internorm door? if you look at the end of the door, there will be lots of screws holding the gear/mechanism. Be worth taking it out but the handle will need to come off first & pull the spindle out.

Assuming handle coming off was the best course - but it won’t Edited Monday at 19:39 by Pocster
Eric Posted Monday at 19:58 Share Posted Monday at 19:58 Pretty sure it will just prize off, small bit of plastic (credit card) to lever off gently.

Take it off it's hinges and spin the door over so the duff handle is on the inside. 🤣🤣
