GLPinxit Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 Hi, my house (built 2004) has these around the ground floor. All are a bit tired and some seem to be installed upside down. From the looks of things the grilles can be removed (I haven't tried yet) but I'd like to find replacements first. So far I've drawn a blank- any suggestions for what I should be looking for? Thanks in anticipation.
Russell griffiths Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 Rip the lot out and go and buy a stone ones in a nice buff colour to match your stone just a thought.
Mr Punter Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 Yes they are upside down, inviting water into the cavity. A right fiddle to replace.

MikeGrahamT21 Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 Yes the inners come out, available in varying colours, here is a terracotta one: https://www.screwfix.com/p/air-brick-terracotta-76mm-x-229mm/13873 A note though, not all of them have replaceable inners, so just watch out when you go to buy As above, whoever put it in, has put it in upside down, so ensure the louvres are pointed down when you replace.
