JohnMo Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 Our roof is 45 degs had a few days of snow and cold weather. Best part of no generation.
JohnMo Posted November 22, 2024 Author Posted November 22, 2024 Our hill vertical panels. No snow Currently generating 2.4kW
ProDave Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 Same here thick snow on ours. I thought I would sweep it off this morning but it has had too many freeze thaw cycles and is now solid ice. It will be gone on Sunday when Bert gets here.
SteamyTea Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 Why not fit a trace heater on the bottom of each module. Generally we don't have a lot of snow, but for the few quid it costs, and the probability that it will get rid of the snow, may be worthwhile.

frankmcs65 Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Luckeyly,I mounted my panels on the ground, where I can easily clean and service them....15 bifacial's on east-south strings.Today 17kw and my hot water boiler is 75°C.Northern italy, though🥰 1
JohnMo Posted January 3 Author Posted January 3 Northeast Scotland today 0.28kWh. Pretty much nothing.
Russdl Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Southern England 22.7kWh today. It's been a bloody long time coming!

Russdl Posted January 3 Posted January 3 It certainly makes a difference, just having the sun show it's face reduces our heating requirements, the PV is an added benefit.
