Yep . I’ve ordered a much cheaper waterless flexible trap and will have double drains .
Pocster
Small leak from front again ffs ! Stuck a bucket under the right plug - fair bit of water came out . Guess I’ll need to empty it daily until second trap turns up … Edited November 23 by Pocster
Pocster
Still leaks from front around this point circled . Managed to tip the entire until back a bit more . Also squeezed a plastic wedge under the front of the heat exchanger to allow it to tip a bit more . Front design here seems really poor - a tiny 1mm lip and the base felt sat in the middle of it which clearly soaks the water up . Stum
Hi - long time casual reader, first time feeling I have something to contribute... We had a similar issue with the same machine - turned out that it was drawing so much air through the drain that it was stopping water from draining. For us the drain was initially running into tall pipe with a trap at the bottom that also served the washing machine. Loads of air getting sucked through becoming bubbling and gurgling once the weather got cold (holding in enough water just to fill the inside a few times). Fixed the noises with a water-less trap - but the suction was sufficient to hold the trap closed, the machine filled up and started leaking. Have now got the trap fitted fully vertical a decent way below the machine so the pipe holds sufficient volume to push the diaphragm open. No noises or leaking since. 1

My current issue ( until the 2nd trap arrives ) is the heat exchanger effectively leaking at the base and coming through the front panel . Will test the trap problem ( and potential ) suction issues soon .
Pocster
Since tipping the unit back a bit and wedging the heat exchanger up at the front no water has come through the front panel . Water still pools in the non drained side though . New water free trap turned up today so will look at linking them together into the outlet .
