Jawbkk Posted November 9, 2024 Posted November 9, 2024 I have recently re-tiled my bathroom as part of a bathroom makeover. My first time tiling so would be grateful for some feedback. 2
ProDave Posted November 9, 2024 Posted November 9, 2024 Looks good to me, you have done all the thin cuts well and nothing obviously looks wonky. There are threads on here of "professional" tilers doing a lot lot worse.
Pocster Posted November 9, 2024 Posted November 9, 2024 Does look good tbh. Personally I don't like those thin cuts ( just my preference ) so would have shifted the whole lot across to avoid them. That then means the tiled window shelf wouldn't have a central grout like so OCD would kick in. You've got to call it as you see it. Certainly good especially for 1st effort. Now SWMBO will want you to do more..... 1
Onoff Posted November 9, 2024 Posted November 9, 2024 Looks good in the picture...but then so does mine...except close up! Quite a forgiving pattern. 1 1
Temp Posted November 9, 2024 Posted November 9, 2024 Looks good. I think I would have moved the tiles about half a tile left or right to eliminate the thin cuts. 1
Onoff Posted November 10, 2024 Posted November 10, 2024 Thin cuts I hear? Guilty! I could have had the ceiling 2" lower and saved myself a load of grief around the top edge. Worst thing I did was, never having tiled before, start on that mitred section where the shower rail is. Hindsight etc. A dimmer switch hides a lot of poor tiling...
