Lincolnshire Ian Posted July 14, 2024 Posted July 14, 2024 Hi We will need a private treatment plant with a drainage field for our self-build. Can anyone recommend a good manufacturer and/or installer? We are based in Lincolnshire (Spalding/Boston area). Thanks

nod Posted July 14, 2024 Posted July 14, 2024 Most treatment plants are much of a muchness As long as there’s no moving parts and an external blower I’ve installed a Matrix TP on our last two builds Super easy to install Even for a novice Just had ours emptied after six years No issues
Duncan62 Posted July 14, 2024 Posted July 14, 2024 Everyone has their favourite I'm sure. Batch treatment plants are general smaller than matrix but use less power than a traditional treatment plant. https://www.owlshall.co.uk/app/uploads/2022/10/Solido-Smart-Brochure.pdf https://www.owlshall.co.uk/sewage-treatment/sewage-treatment-plants/1-4-bedroom/premier-tech-rewatec-solido-smart-2-8-person/
crispy_wafer Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 +1 on the rewatec solido smart, as once the initial capital is dealt with has lower running costs, which was more important to me. But there's loads of different ones to suit. Shallow dig/deep dig, submarine shaped, conical shaped. Installers probably have their goto brands.
MortarThePoint Posted Tuesday at 10:07 Posted Tuesday at 10:07 @Duncan62 @crispy_wafer How quiet is the Solido Smart's pump? They have it as a main selling point, but it's hard to get a feel. I guess things to compare it to are a laptop fan, fridge, ASHP. This would be based on standing just to the side of the plant, obviously with the lid closed.
dpmiller Posted Tuesday at 14:37 Posted Tuesday at 14:37 the bubbling and splashing are both louder than the pump. Remember the pump (which is quiet already tbh) is sitting on a foam pad inside a sealed housing, under a double-skinned manhole cover... 1
