Mikey Posted April 29 Share Posted April 29 I was going to go around the house with silicone to fill this gap, but a builder friend gave me this expanding foam strip to try. You would normally set your brickwork so that you can sit the Soffit on th top and simply pin it down That wouldn’t restrict any movement Real balls up on the joinery side You shouldn’t be filling in with bits of foam Get you builder to sort it out I really hate these lame excuses about movement Adding bits of foam etc Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I did all the gable ladders and then soffits and fascias myself. Used tape on some gaps, EBT on others. I have Thermohouse EPS roof boards, which do not facilitate the usual soffit and facia board fixing methods and require 450mm high boards to cover EPS. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
