Super_Paulie
I'm just about to seal up my floor. Forever. Before I do, what are people's preferred methods on insulation of the fittings within the void of a suspended floor? Or should I not bother? Russell griffiths
Buy a length of 25/ 28mm internal insulation and cut and secure around the fittings.
BotusBuild
If you've got any bits of PIR and some thin bits of cushion type foam lying around: - two pieces PIR either side of the fitting - carve/gouge/fettle out some of the PIR to get each piece to fit snug as possible - a thin layer of cushion foam around the fitting, then tie-wrap the two pieces of PIR around that. Think of the PIR as two pieces of bread, the cushion foam as the butter, and the fitting as the cheese in between

Nice analogy though 😆
JohnMo
If you go to a plumbers merchant you can get 35mm x 15mm insulation, goes over Hep2O fittings nicely.
Super_Paulie
I've just picked up some 28mm from Screwfix, see how that goes. That's as big as they went so I'll see how I feel about it.

Super_Paulie
Cheers gents. The 28mm goes on with a bit of cutting, slicing and cable ties. 35mm would have been better as JohnMo says, but this will work for me. Much appreciated as per 👍 Edited February 19 by Super_Paulie
