Best way to roof this?

I have a boxed section of 110mm pipe externally which I have clad.

I am planning to use a 18mm board to go over the top at the angle.

However I am a bit unsure what to use to cover it. I don't want to use felt, and also I need to put the covering up the wall a bit and seal.

I don't want to chase lead in as it's not vital it stays completely dry, but interested in what people think

It's flat roof

Lapped feather edge with some breather membrane underneath? Bit of clear silicone where it meets the wall?

Piece of galvanised sheet metal same colour as steps. Fixed with round head screws for accessibility.
