I cannot make my mind up about this guy credentials, I do know he annoys me when I listen to him.

Without watching the video, don't nuclear batteries have an incredibly low power output? I'm sure I recall reading that some deep space probes use something like this.

Presumably also not rechargeable, unless they come with a small fission reactor.

Maybe they use a fast breeder reactor.

@Pocster may know more.  I am sure he mentioned fertile material and transuranics in the same breath recently.
