Logan
I’m looking to install herringbone LVT click flooring. How do I fit it under these decor pieces that go to the floor? My kitchen fitter has installed them to a height so they will land sitting on the finished flooring (so I’ll be working with a gap of 5.5mm underneath once I remove the existing laminate floor). DIY job or PRO?
Conor
We had a floor fitter do our herring bone. No way would I have attempted it. Requires skill and patience in bundles. I'll take a look at how he did around our gables.
joe90
You have to start the flooring from that side really, tucking the first ones under the end panels, yes herringbone can be tricky to get right (but looks good). https://www.factory-direct-flooring.co.uk/advice-centre/how-to-lay-herringbone-flooring?gclid=Cj0KCQiA67CrBhC1ARIsACKAa8RzHQp3M_P9FKKj4_nHJNJBlj8FpXALzR_8bYU67-ar8K0QlLNbzIAaAmNxEALw_wcB

Wish I had him on a day rate as he did very well and rattled through it - but it'd easily have taken me three times as long and with a lot more waste. oliwoodings
It's too late now, but another way to do it would have been to lay the floor first (after marking up where the plinths will eventually sit), put floor protector sheets down and then install the kitchen. Did this recently on a project, worked well.
