A six month sparing match with Octopus and now this

 

Why with a SMETS2 so called SMART meter do I need to photograph the Export Display on our meter to evidence the amount exported before they will pay me for the amount exported?

Are you also getting you electric from them or just export payment?

 

If just export they may not be allowed access to your smart meter, that being controlled by the current supplier

Is this just a one off to confirm they have the right export meter configured?

 

I can't remember if I did this initially, but all export on flux is handled by smart meter readings now, no manual reads. I have an "upgraded" SMETS1 meter.

Yes it was the same for me- one initial manual reading and then it looks after itself (with an eye being kept on it just because I can).
