eandg
Scottish Regs require a carbon dioxide detector to be installed in the principal bedroom We have one planned for our ring alongside the heat and smoke alarms, with cable pulled through for it in the ceiling. I'm now looking for a detector but can only find a few on the market, all wall mounted. Can anyone point me in the direction of where I'd get a ceiling mounted one? Kelvin
I didn’t think they could be ceiling mounted. Ours are planned to be wall mounted.

That might explain the difficulty finding anything - was a presumption on our part that might bite us on the backside. 15 minutes ago, TonyT said: Aico Can't find anything but any links would be appreciated, thanks. MR10
Carbon dioxide is denser than air so probably best not to have the detector at ceiling height.
JohnMo
Read the regs they are very explicit on what type of meter you need and placement. Look for CO2 meter Scottish building regs on Google.
jamieled
It's not so much a detector (as with Carbon Monoxide) as just a sensor with some kind of visual indicator of the CO2 level. I'm pretty sure they can't be ceiling mounted, because the occupants need to be able to look at them and see what they're telling you (not that you probably will in practice, but hey ho). Second the comments above. Ours is a Deta.

jamieled
Yeah I don't think anything AICO produce looks like it fits the bill.
