buildman
Building drawings says 25mm upstand around all external walls. So what about along internal block walls ? another grey area?

Canski
do you mean perimeter insulation ?
buildman
perimeter insulation on external walls. so what about internal block walls? they are on 100mm insulation so the concrete slab will be level with top of upstands / perimeter insulation 25mm
Andehh
We Insulated around internal walls as well, no harm in doing so and might help with thermal bridging a bit! Also more help for any settlement/expansion.

buildman
extension is several rooms with internal block walls built from footings. plans say external walls with upstands. so just the cavity walls or internal block walls as well.
Temp
Im going to say both. The perimeter insulation acts as a thermal break on outside walls and as an expansion gap/buffer on all walls. Without it if the slab expands there is a risk the wall can be pushed sideways. Not much but enough to crack mortar joints or the blocks.
eandg
You get 8mm perimeter strips for your internal walls. Blue foamy gear, cheap as online or four times as dear if you need to run to Screwfix the night before your screed pour like some idiots.
