GrantMcscott
Hi After numrous probelms with my flat roof I have managed to get it water tight with liquid ruber. It does not look pretty though so was thinking about making it a green roof. The roof is North facing with a waal to 2 sides it also has a down pipe coming of another roof in the corner. There is a bit of ponding on the roof see pics will this be an issue and what system would you recomend to buy?
Conor
Check with your SE that it can take the extra loading. How did you find the liquid rubber? Messy? Considering it for our balcony instead of EPDM.

Considering it for our balcony instead of EPDM. Horrible stuff. The roof joist are 1800 mm long 145 depth x 47 and at 450 centres looking at the span tables it can take 2.8 KN per square metre. That is about 200 KG per square metre
Thorfun
according to https://www.bauder.co.uk/contact/frequently-asked-questions/faqs-green-roofs their lightest weight sedum blanket is 44kg/m2 maybe figure out the system you want to use first and then work backwards to figure out if your roof can take the load

SteamyTea
Bitumin is around the 9 mark on the PH scale. Best to keep the soil similar. Not good for growing stuff. Sodic soil has water retention issues as well.
