richie9648
I’m having a re-roof and installing PV. Andy advice on brand of tile to get? currently I have rosemary’s on a 1930s house - semi. And noticed a few leaks which I have had to deal with. Now decided to take the jump and reroof while having the PVs im after a flat plain grey tile. I’ve had recommendations for crest tiles or mini stone walls. What I don’t understand is that the crest is 5kg each and mini stone are under 2kg?? Same size what do you guys advice for ? Conor
Put the PV on in-roof trays while you're at it.

Dave Jones
concrete pan tiles are easiest and cheapest, some look really smart as well. Marley deo edgemore for example. Much more robust than clay or slate with none of the overlapping to worry about. Forgiving to cut at valleys/hips etc. Edited April 5, 2023 by Dave Jones
Mike
The rafters of a 1930s house would have been designed to suit the lighter weight of clay tiles - that's what I'd choose.
